Gov. Deal Issued an Executive Order Banning the Use of Fireworks Until the Drought Ends

Gov. Nathan Deal issued an executive order banning the use of fireworks in 110 Georgia counties until the drought ends — and yes, Gwinnett is one of those counties. The order comes as several counties in Georgia are under a temporary burn ban because of dry conditions.

Gov. Deal issued the executive order Monday, November 14th, 2016 noting there have been numerous instances of uncontrolled fires. The ban is in effect as long as there is a declared drought.
