Are you someone who’s passionate about making a difference in your community? Become the Mayor for a Day and share your ideas with us. Submit a short 1-2 minute video telling us how you would make your community a better place if you were in charge for a day. This contest is open to all students who are residents of the City of Sugar Hill or students who attend any school (or grade level) within the Lanier and North Gwinnett school clusters. Home schooled students may also enter the contest. We can’t wait to hear from you! The deadline to apply is April 20 at 5 p.m.
Mayor for a Day
Submit a 1 - 2 minute video answering the question, "One of the roles of the Mayor is to serve as a cheerleader for our community. As Mayor for a Day, who or what in our community would you celebrate and talk positively about?" In your video, be sure to say your name, what school you attend, and what grade level you are. Fill out the submission form below and upload your video. A Parent/Guardian will also need to submit their permission and information. Winners will be contacted on Friday, April 24, 2023. This contest is open to all students who are residents of the City of Sugar Hill or students who attend any school (or grade level) within the Lanier and North Gwinnett school clusters. Home schooled students may also enter the contest. The winner will be selected and given the opportunity to be sworn in and shadow the Mayor for a day. Deadline to apply is April 20, 2023 at 5 p.m.
