Suspension of In-Person Services at City Hall
Effective Friday, March 20th following a special called meeting of the City Council at 8 am, Sugar Hill City Hall will be closed to the general public. Staff will continue to report to City Hall or connect remotely, carrying out the daily functions of the city.
This decision was not made lightly. City Hall and the dedicated staff of the City of Sugar Hill play a critical role in serving the public. However, the active City Hall sees a significant amount of foot traffic on a daily basis and out of an abundance of caution, we have made this difficult but necessary decision. The city has chosen to model the importance of social distancing during this public health event.
Beginning Friday March 20th, Business License applications, Planning and Zoning Permit applications, Alcohol License applications, and New Utility Service applications will be taken on an appointment-only basis. Appointments can be made by calling 770-945-6716.
Gas utility payments can be made by calling 1-855-748-1345 or by visiting https://ipn.paymentus.com/cp/shga for online payments. To encourage gas customers to limit public interactions, the standard convenience fee of $2.25 associated with phone and online payments will be credited to gas service accounts. Payments can also be made in person at The Eagle Theatre box office, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Customers also have the option of paying with a check by dropping payment slip, payment, and envelope at the drop box located next to City Hall. As a reminder, please do not send cash by mail or in the drop box.
For assistance with gas service, contact Sugar Hill Customer Service at 770-945-6716. General questions about City of Sugar Hill operations can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. Communications regarding operations of the City of Sugar Hill will be posted at www.cityofsugarhill.com as well as on social media accounts.
