Former Suite Spot Business Wins Pinnacle Award

Based out of Buford, Aaron Overhead Doors, won Gwinnett Chamber’s 2018 “Fan Favorite” Pinnacle Award.

Ryan Lucia started this third location for the garage door company in Downtown Sugar Hill’s Suite Spot before expanding to his new location in Buford. Taking a leap of faith, Lucia emptied his savings and retirement fund to launch his own business.

The Suite Spot business incubator is meant just for that – helping new and small business owners in their path to success. The former City Hall building turned business incubator offers a variety of options for members. Co-working memberships start at just $60 per month and include access to the general co-work area, high-speed internet, and a conference room that is available upon appointment. Premium membership includes a dedicated workspace that, a locking file cabinet and USPS mailbox. The second floor of the Suite Spot houses tenant-only dedicated offices for small businesses and entrepreneurs. This is a private, secure option for those looking to expand beyond the co-work memberships.

“I’ve always wanted to have a warehouse/office combined, but we couldn’t afford it. The Suite Spot gave us the opportunity to have a great working environment and keep our cost down until we could afford to get our own place,” Ryan Lucia said of his time at the City of Sugar Hill’s Suite Spot. “I love the people there. I’ve even hired people who work out of there to help me with things. The main reason it was hard to leave was because the connections you can have there.”

Before Lucia entered into his once new business endeavor, he worked in software sales for years. Bored with taking calls and sitting behind a desk, he connected with friend, Larry Conte who owns Aaron Overhead Doors in California, to discuss Conte’s successful garage door business. Then after delving deeper into researching the garage door market place, Lucia worked with Conte to open their Gwinnett location of Aaron Overhead Doors.

With only a small garage to hold all of his supplies at first, Lucia needed an office space. He heard about the Suite Spot and he was all in. Working hard at growing his business, Ryan Lucia was on his way to success while creating connections and servicing the Gwinnett community.

Aaron Overhead doors is a turnkey garage door company that prides itself on satisfying and servicing its customer’s needs. As winner of Gwinnett Chamber’s “Fan Favorite,” it seems the company has done just that.
