- Chattahoochee River District Open House and Online Response
-A drop-in open house to obtain input toward a concept plan for appropriate future uses of city owned properties was hosted on Tuesday, July 14th. As a follow-up to the open house, the city is seeking comments on prospective and financially responsible uses of the area via online survey. Comments must be submitted online by 11:59 PM on August, 2nd.
- Greenway Conceptual Design August Open House and Interactive Online Map
-A virtual open house gathering input for the conceptual design of an upcoming phase of the greenway was held via WebEx on Wednesday, July 15th. A follow-up open house will be held on August 13th, most likely in the evening and virtual as well but the exact time and format will be shared soon.
-If you were unable to attend the meeting on July 15th to give your input, we will be collecting ideas on a community input map available until July 26th at https://cityofsugarhill.com/sugarhilltrail/.
-The Duck Naming Committee narrowed down the name submissions to the final 6 pairs to be voted on by the public. The pairings were announced on Monday night at the City Council meeting and on social media. Voting was announced on social media on Tuesday, July 14th. The poll has already received nearly 200 votes! Make sure your vote is counted by going to the link below!

- Economic Recovery Task Force Open Houses
-The Economic Recovery Task Force will be hosting virtual open houses on Wednesday, July 21st at 10:00 am and 11:00 am.
-The COVID-19 Recovery Community Open House, hosted by City of Sugar Hill Staff and City Council members, will begin at 10:00 am. This open house will present residents with a chance to drop-in to discuss community needs and ideas as we work together to support each other in the economic and community recovery from the Coronavirus.
-The COVID-19 Business Recovery Open House, hosted by City of Sugar Hill Staff and financial experts, will begin at 11:00 am. This open house will focus on business needs related to economic recovery from the Coronavirus.
-Due to current event capacity restrictions and the rising number of COVID-19 cases, the Players Guild @ Sugar Hill has made the decision to postpone their upcoming performance of Blithe Spirit. We look forward to enjoying their performance at their new dates of November 13th-15th and 20th-22nd. Tickets to the updated show dates can be purchased here.
- Gwinnett County Small Business Assistance Program Business Loans & Grants
-On June 30th the Gwinnett County Small Business Assistance Program began accepting applications for both grants and loans to aid small businesses effected by COVID-19. Applications are being accepted until July 24th, 2020.

- Millage Rates Public Hearings
-As a reminder, millage rates public hearings will be held on August 3rd at 8:00 am and 6:30 pm and on August 10th at 7:30 pm.
