City of Sugar Hill Updates Regarding COVID-19

Operational Updates from Advanced Disposal

Update regarding Advanced Disposal’s Spring Cleaning Event:

The annual Advanced Disposal Spring Cleaning event, originally scheduled for the week of May 4th has been postponed to a later, undetermined date.  Please note, once a new date has been finalized, an updated flyer will be included in your gas bill, as well as announced on the City of Sugar Hill webpage and on social media .

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The postponement of this event is in the best interest of the health of the sanitation workers and our community in light of the Coronavirus health crisis.

Update from Advanced Disposal effective immediately:

As the situation continues to evolve with the COVID-19 outbreak, we are assessing how to best keep our staff, customers, and families healthy and safe. In order to reduce risks with handling potential viral contaminants, we will be limiting the number of green logo bags to 3 bags of household trash only effective Monday, March 23, 2020. This 3-bag limit only applies to those customers using bagged service only. All bulk (over sized items) waste collection is suspended until further notice. **For those customers using cart service, collection will be limited to what fits into the cart with lid closed. Advanced Disposal appreciates this special accommodation during this unprecedented time. Any questions about service may continue to be routed to our customer service office at 678-495-0058

Our sanitation workers are working hard to provide essential services during this public health crisis. It would help lift their spirits if you’d like to leave a thank you note on the cart or say thank you to them from a safe distance (at least 6 ft).
