Thank you to all of our staff who continues to work hard to assess and cleanup after Hurricane Irma. Staff will continue to assess the debris this week during their normal routes and schedules. We appreciate your patience as we work through this process. Clean-up and collection efforts could take a number of months as our area was hit fairly hard by this storm. Through this process, staff will continue yard debris collection with a focus on getting roads and right-of-ways cleared first. During the recovery period, if your stack of yard debris is larger than normal, please do not be alarmed if your house is passed over and scheduled for a later pickup by a different team as we manage the overall work and debris load.
We are also aware that many are still without power. Georgia Power and Sawnee EMC continue to work around-the-clock to restore power to the many homes that still do not have electricity. We are thankful for all of the linemen who have worked tirelessly these past few days and are still working to resolve these issues. Again, we appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
