Sugar Hill Honored for Marketing Excellence

The Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia recognized the City of Sugar Hill for marketing excellence at its Annual Membership Meeting last week. The award is presented annually to municipally-owned natural gas systems served by the Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia for unique marketing initiatives. The City of Sugar Hill was recognized for its E-Center project, which will include state-of-the-art gas heating and water heating appliance technologies.

The City of Sugar Hill is constructing a 43,000 square foot downtown centerpiece that will include office, retail, and restaurant space, a community gymnasium, theater, and other amenities. The City incorporated natural gas technologies in the design of the facility, including five 14-ton, 3-pipe, and one 8-ton Yanmar Gas Heat Pumps totaling 78 tons, as well as nine Rinnai tankless water heaters for the building’s hot water needs.

Sugar Hill City Manager Paul Radford accepted the award on behalf of the city and said “We’re creating a downtown for our community…really the epicenter for Sugar Hill, by adding this multiuse facility to our existing community plaza, award-winning outdoor concert venue, and city hall. This complex will be at the heart of our community…where government and commerce meet.”
