POSITION TITLE: Suite Spot Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Downtown/ Economic Development

REPORTS TO: Downtown and Main Street Manager

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part-time

POSITION SUMMARY: This part-time position is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Suite Spot Business Incubator. Daily tasks require providing customer service to the public and Suite Spot members as well as providing tours, responding to inquiries, maintaining tenant relations, and helping city staff maintain the facility.

POSITION DUTIES: 

  • Provide tours and assist in membership process within the Suite Spot from sign-up to separation
  • Resolve support requests from members and tenants; provide ongoing proactive communication and respond to questions, concerns, and ideas
  • Efficiently respond to daily email and phone inquiries
  • Manage the physical space of the Suite Spot including building access and supply of needed resources
  • Coordinate member and tenant requests for use of conference rooms or other reserved space in a way that is equitable and appropriate
  • Provide effective and appropriate communication of concerns, requests, ideas, and suggestions
  • Establish and leverage strong relationships with relevant partners including the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center, Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, S. Small Business Administration, and others
  • Assist in designing, scheduling, coordinating, and executing a comprehensive slate of programming to support Suite Spot members and tenants (and other business owners as appropriate) through partnership with related organizations and professionals within the field
  • Provide general assistance to Downtown Manager
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduation from High School or possession of a GED
  • Holds and maintains a valid driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of computers and job-related software, including spreadsheets and databases.
  • Creative approach to programming to create impactful experiences that build community and support business development.
  • Skill in communicating information clearly and effectively
  • Ability to initiate and build relationships with members and interact via telephone and in person.
  • Customer service experience
  • Works well independently.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively in English in person, over the telephone and in public.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity, tact, and excellent customer service while interacting with others.

  • Limited work outdoors and sometimes in unpleasant environments or weather conditions
  • Lift and carry 25 lbs. of static weight
  • Bend, stoop, reach, carry, crawl, climb and lift as necessary to perform assigned duties
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload and meet deadlines
