On May 13, 2023, at 11 a.m., the City of Sugar Hill will unveil a new carved granite cemetery stone at the Sugar Hill Historic Cemetery. This significant event will honor and remember those who have been buried in unknown locations at the cemetery. The stone, generously donated by ABC Stones Memorials, features the names of individuals who were buried at the cemetery, but through weathering and time, the marking of their burial places has been lost. This thoughtful gesture serves as a tangible and lasting way to acknowledge and remember these individuals for generations to come.
The unveiling ceremony highlights the community’s commitment to honoring and preserving its history and the memories of those who have gone before us. All interested individuals are invited to attend the unveiling ceremony and pay their respects to those named on the stone.
