The Sugar Hill Historic Preservation Society presents “Sugar Hill’s Connection to Moonshine and Fast Cars,” now on display at the Sugar Hill History Museum. The exhibit highlights local ties to the Prohibition era, including the story of George Sudderth, who began running moonshine at age 12 and continued until a raid in 1975. Years later, he and his son opened a legal distillery in Dillard, Georgia. Hear the Sudderth Family share their story at the Moonshining & Fast Cars Speaker Series on June 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Eagle Theatre.
