Beginning Monday, January 18th, Gary Pirkle Park w Beginning Monday, January 18th, Gary Pirkle Park will be closed to the public.

With the winter season upon us, we are using this time to complete the turf field rennovation project as well as restoring and repairing items that were damaged due to Tropical Storm Delta in the park.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to restore the park to full operating order and look forward to sharing our upgraded projects with our community!

For our residents and guests that use Gary Pirkle Park for walking and fitness, we encourage you to come out to the E Center Gym to use the indoor walking track, fitness equipment, or explore fitness class options while the park is closed.

As a reminder, Sugar Hill Natural Gas patrons receive a complimentary gym membership. Memberships for non-gas customers and non-residents are available for a nominal fee. Give our staff at call at 770-831-7413 with any questions about membership and classe

While this year's Volunteer Celebration may look d While this year's Volunteer Celebration may look different, we are excited to share with you the 2020 Volunteer of the Year. This year’s Volunteer of the Year goes to someone who has led two community groups, is a voice for our youth, educates herself and others on local government policies, and has testified in the Georgia Congress for bills regarding anti-vaping regulations. She is leading the current 2020-21 Youth Council along with the Youth Mayor Pro-temp and she previously led the Youth Ambassadors. This year through her work with Youth Council they have hosted a virtual panel for youth to discuss racial injustice and continue to strengthen the community’s connection with our high school students. Congratulations to our 2020 Volunteer of the Year, Bhaumi Shah! You are truly making a positive impact on the Sugar Hill community.
The 2020 Susan Roebuck Community Champion award re The 2020 Susan Roebuck Community Champion award recipient has done a remarkable job displaying how collaborative efforts strengthen our community. This Community Champion generously gives of her time and talents serving on the Sugar Hill Historic Preservation Society Board and as an active member of the Black Women’s Association of Sugar Hill (BWASH). Through her work with BWASH the group collected thousands of face masks for students and teachers, donated essentials to Out of the Darkness (an anti-trafficking organization), and hosted the first Sugar Hill Black History Month Program. As the Museum Committee Chair of the Historic Preservation Society she has helped grow their list of accolades, including continued plans for the new Sugar Hill History Museum. Congratulations to Tiffany Hale Carter the 2020 Susan Roebuck Community Champion! Your work with numerous organizations and individual endeavors are what make you such an advocate for Sugar Hill.

We are just jolly to share that our friends at @br We are just jolly to share that our friends at @broadstonesugarhill are helping us connect our Sugar Hill community with the big man himself! Santa has made time in his busy holiday schedule to virtually visit with a few good Sugar Hill boys and girls on December 10th.

To reserve your FREE virtual visit with Santa, please go to the link in our bio to select an available time starting at 4:15 pm. In an effort to allow Santa the opportunity to visit with as many families as possible, we ask that virtual visits are limited to one per household. After registration, you will receive an email with instructions on how to join the call.

Additionally, we invite everyone to join us for a special reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas by Santa himself! This stream will be available on the City of Sugar Hill’s Instagram Live and Facebook Live. We recommend tuning in at 6:45 pm to make sure you don’t miss a minute before the guy with the jolly laugh has to return to business at the North Pole. No registration is required for story time.

Due to limited availability, you must sign-up if you would like to have a Virtual Visit with Santa. Registration closes end of day December 9th.

Happy Holidays!🎅🏻
