City of Sugar Hill Announces Opening of Seasonal Ice Rink at Dawn P. Gober Plaza

Sugar Hill, GA – The Sugar Hill Ice Rink is officially open at the Dawn P. Gober Plaza behind Sugar Hill City Hall. The Sugar Hill Ice Rink is the same size as the iconic rink located at Rockefeller Center in New York City. Admission for children eight years and younger is $14, which includes skate rental. General admission with skate rentals is $16, and a season pass is available for $149. Private bookings are also offered.

The Ice Rink is one of several winter additions in Sugar Hill designed to create the perfect Winter Wonderland experience. Downtown Sugar Hill is decorated with holiday displays along West Broad Street, offering multiple festive photo opportunities for families. Highlights include a sleigh and a train at City Hall, a Hot Chocolate mug behind The Eagle Theatre, and a Santa with a chair behind The E Center, among others.

“We are thrilled to bring the magic of a true Winter Wonderland to Sugar Hill,” said Council Member Joshua Page. “Families can enjoy skating, festive decorations, and unforgettable holiday memories right here in our downtown.”

All holiday lights are ready for the upcoming Holiday Celebration, taking place at The Landing, the plaza behind The Bowl at Sugar Hill, on Saturday, December 13, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The celebration will feature free photos with Santa, which will be mailed directly to attendees, local vendors for holiday shopping, and more.
