ARTS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
TUESDAY, JULY 16, 2019
ART GALLERY, 6:00 P.M.

Members in attendance were chair Kerry Murphy, vice chair Donna McKinney, Drew Dylan, Marc Cohen, Terence Mulligan, and Joyce Cutchins. Several guests were in attendance as well.

CALL TO ORDER – 6:02 PM
APPROVAL OF AGENDA – Motion by Marc Cohen, Second by Terence Mulligan, All in Favor
APPROVAL OF MINUTES – Arts Commission Meeting May 21, 2019 – Motion by Donna McKinney, Second by Drew Dylan, All in Favor

• Assigning Roles and Proceeding
  1. Doodle Wall – Drew Dylan
     1. Repairs needed for existing wall
     2. Possible to create new wall for student graffiti contest?
  2. Tiny Gallery and Create Station – Donna McKinney and Craig Tilley
     1. Donna had already created a mockup of the tiny gallery. What is needed to construct the full version?  Craig Tilley Suggested we get some green army men and paint. He is working on the content portion/ create station portion. Also suggested rubbings may be a good idea.
  3. Selfie Wall – Chandra Brendel
     1. Nicole Klein will share ideas and help move this forward. She will share comments with Chandra on how to proceed.
        1. No interest in absorbing the expense of a lite brite wall. Open to large picture frame.  Barry Palmer, Craig Tilley, will coordinate via email and help brainstorm ideas for the next meeting.
     2. Poster Contest – Kerry Murphy and Marc Cohen
        1. 3 weeks until school starts, then action. Will want to order two screens as well.
     3. Art Scavenger Hunt – Kristina Jaunais and Tiffany Cole absent, will take action after school starts
     4. Craig Tilley Vine Contribution – Craig Tilley
        1. Likely will participate in helping to develop a create station and will then be over flow space for the length of the event w/ focus on augmented reality and artist collaboration
     5. 3D Printer?
        1. Marc will talk to Mike Reilley and see if we can print a bit thing for people to watch.

• Tshirts?
  1. Barry Palmer has a direct to garment printer if we could find a use for it.

1. DISCUSSION
   1. Art-O-Mat – scheduled to arrive and has arrived
   2. Tiffany Cole – Interested in filling post
   3. Upcoming Show – Clay and Canvas
   4. Need to build out Monthly Shows into next year
      1. August meeting?

      1. Marc to reach out to Accent Creative Group/ The Dig as well as teacher of North Gwinnett High School, Craig Tilly to Reach out to Vicky Johnson
