Parks & Greenway Safety

Residents and visitors are encouraged to avoid outdoor recreation during severe weather.
After the storm, anyone using the Sugar Hill Greenway should remain alert for fallen trees, flooding, and other hazardous conditions. Observe posted closures and avoid flooded areas.

Prepare for the Storm

  • Prepare an emergency kit: Include at least three days of water, nonperishable food, medications, flashlights, and batteries.
  • Charge essential devices: Fully charge phones and other essential devices before the storm.

Natural Gas Safety

If you smell rotten eggs or hear hissing near a gas line, meter, or appliance, leave the area immediately.

From a safe location away from the suspected leak, call 911 or the City of Sugar Hill’s gas maintenance and leak line at 770-271-2137.
