Senior Planner – Full Time Job Opportunity

The City of Sugar Hill is seeking a Senior Planner to serve on our Planning and Development team. The role of Planner ensures the city’s planning programs are up to date and carried out; reviews, updates and implements land use policy; as well as ensures effective deployment of the department’s GIS technology. The successful candidate will possess advanced research and technical writing skills, considerable project management experience and proficiency with geographic information systems technology. AICP certification is preferred but not required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must submit 2-3 writing samples with employment application.

Examples: Staff reports, School papers, Technical writing

Bachelors Degree in Planning or related field and
At least four (4) years of professional planning experience or

Masters Degree in Planning or related field and

At least two (2) years of professional planning experience.

 Salary & Benefits
Salary range: $45,000 – $70,000 annual based on experience and qualifications, plus full benefits package.
