Join us on September 20 for an incredible historical journey. Wayne Hill, a native of Sugar Hill and prominent leader in Gwinnett County, will speak at the Eagle Theatre. This free event is brought to you by the Sugar Hill Historic Preservation Society. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The program starts at 7 p.m.
Wayne Hill, a devoted public servant from Sugar Hill, Georgia, has an impressive legacy. Once a volunteer fireman, he became Chairman of the Gwinnett County Commission and the Atlanta Regional Commission. He also played a pivotal role in founding Peoples Bank and Trust in Buford, Georgia. Wayne’s career began in 1960 in his father’s small cabinet shop in Sugar Hill, which he expanded before taking executive roles in various businesses. Committed to his community, Wayne is active in charitable initiatives and local groups. He and his wife now call Suwanee, Georgia, their home.
