    Today is 811 Day! The law designates that anyone p Today is 811 Day! The law designates that anyone planning to use mechanized equipment for excavation, tunneling, grading, boring, blasting, demolition, or similar work should contact Georgia 811. However, for safety’s sake, we recommend you call for any project in which you plan to break ground. Underground utilities can be damaged while individuals are installing mailboxes, building fences or decks, or even planting trees. Remember, even if your project is small, it’s always best to call 811.
    Youth Council applications are now open. If you kn Youth Council applications are now open. If you know any high school students who live in the city limits or attend our local high schools, please have them apply.

The Sugar Hill Youth Council is dedicated to learning the how’s and why’s of local government as well as participation in the process of democratic governance. The Youth Council works to discuss, examine, and understand local government decision-making as well as state-wide policy and current events, strategies for community building, and opportunities to engage the public through events and volunteerism.

Meet up with city leaders, staff, and community members in front of City Hall to tidy up various areas of downtown. Materials including gloves, garbage bags, and water will be provided.

    Bring the entire family out for Splash Night on th Bring the entire family out for Splash Night on the Splash Pad this Friday, July 29 from 5 – 9 p.m. Pack a picnic or enjoy a bite to eat from the food trucks (Burger 21 and Jeremiah’s Italian Ice) after splashing around and listening to live music performed by The Chris Key Band. The All Stars will also be performing at 6:30 p.m. 

The Splash Park is tucked behind City Hall and borders a large outdoor plaza just above The Bowl with tables, umbrellas, and plenty of turf to spread out a picnic blanket.
