The City of Sugar Hill is monitoring winter weather conditions expected this weekend, beginning as early as Saturday morning, but considering the changes expected between now and then, will be updating regularly.  City staff is preparing for the potential storm and so should you.

Residents are encouraged to take steps to prepare now:

  • Keep flashlights and extra batteries on hand
  • Use generators safely outdoors and away from doors and windows
  • Stock up on food, water, and pet essentials
  • Charge mobile devices and backup power sources
  • Plan to avoid any unnecessary travel

Georgia Power has provided additional information and guidance regarding the storm and ways for you to stay informed with any outages.

The Public Works and Parks & Recreation Departments are implementing proactive safety measures to help keep roadways as safe and accessible as possible during this weather event. Please avoid unnecessary travel and use caution if driving is required.
